How I’d change the world

Having grown up in Bournemouth, I am a local businessman whose dream of creating a vibrant media company came true in the heart of our celebrated town centre. As an award-winning producer and entrepreneur, I am passionate about promoting our local community, especially its extraordinary creative talents, both nationally and internationally.

After attending school at Malmesbury Park, Bethany Junior, Portchester Secondary and Bournemouth and Poole College, I completed a Media & Cultural Studies degree in Southampton.  I then enjoyed a rewarding career in retail and theatre marketing before starting my own business, White Lantern Film, which opened its first office on 14th May 2007.

A Liberal Democrat member since a teenager, I believe in the core principles of Social Liberalism. As well as being a member of the Liberal Democrats, I am a member of Liberty, the Electoral Reform Society, Amnesty International and an NSPCC donor. Through my businesses I have a strong link with the local community and the arts. I mentor young people and work regularly with the Big Lottery managing digital media education projects which improve digital life skills and digital literacy, improving chances in life for young people throughout the UK.
